Hello family, friends, and clients! I come to you with a hopeful heart and hands to ask for support during this awful and crazy time. I miss you all so much and hope you are safe and well! In case you haven’t already heard, we got news that Ginger Rubio will have to remain closed until at least June. This hit us all like a ton of bricks, and after processing this, I’ve decided to reach out to my community and family of supporters and best clientele ever. I was finally able to apply for unemployment yesterday, and have exhausted every other option to get additional funding from Covid resources, leaving me and my business with zero income and a bleak look into the near future. With the shut down of salons in San Francisco, and the inability to get government help for independent contractors, I have been left very vulnerable. I’m sure none of us thought this would ever happen. I could really use your help to ensure my family and I can make it through this very scary time, and be able to return to serve all of my loyal clients, friends, and those I’ve come to call my family. Any contributions will go straight to me to ensure I will be able to get by now and to afford the return costs once we are allowed to reopen Ginger Rubio, which includes PPE equipment to safely serve you all and provide a staggered schedule which may look very different from before.
