Hello my name is Tammy I am the mother of a beautiful little girl name Alexas Foster She is 12 years old and has spinal muscular atrophy which is a deadly form of muscular dystrophy and very progressive. We are in desperate need of a new wheelchair accessible van. And they are so very expensive. We presently have one that is about to go. I have sent thousands of dollars trying to keep it fixed because it’s paid for. However our time is running out. I am a single mom. I own a very small business in order to have her with me 24 seven. We of course are presently on Quarantine with the COVID-19. Because she is very come promised. Just a used van that is slightly newer than the one we have is almost 50,000. I will be able to trade in this van but of course will not get very much money for it. I am trying to raise as much down payment money as I can get in order to get the payment as low as I can. Mobility works is trying diligently to help me get into a little newer vanAll proceeds will go straight to Them and helps to lower the payment. If this were just for me I would never ask that because it is for her and it is a necessary thing for us to have. I’m asking for all the help that I can get. Lexy is an advocate for The muscular dystrophy Association. We have our own walk team and raise $1000 of dollars for muscular dystrophy every year. We’ve only missed one work in the last 10 years of her life. Please enjoy the music video. This is her facing her fears and singing in front of all of her classmates for the very first time. Is not a great video. But I was so proud of her for facing her fears. On March 28 we have a very important appointment to find out when she will have to have spinal surgery again. It is imperative that I get better transportation for her and not be scared every time I put her in the car. Never knowing when it’s going to break down. Thanks in advance for your help and God bless
