Justice for Joel Acevedo
Our hearts are broken as we mourn the tragic loss of Joel Acevedo (25). Joel was assaulted by an off duty Milwaukee police officer at a party taken place at the officer’s home. The injuries were so severe that he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Due to the lack of oxygen to his brain, on Saturday April 25th, 2020 he was pronounced dead.
Joel had several friends that were police officers and talked about how he wanted to be an officer someday. It’s so unfortunate that his life was taken by one.
Joel was loving with a Big heart and showed that by donating it❤️. It’s heartwarming to think that his beautiful strong Heart is going to give another family the gift of life. Joel, you’re gone but you are still doing beautiful things here on earth.
Every person who knew Joel was touched by him. He naturally brought many smiles to many faces with his silly personality. You’ve never wanted to smile faster nor hug harder than when spending time with Joel. He was a ray of sunshine with a vibrant smile and could light up any room. Joel loved being a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend and most importantly a jokester. He was always ready with a witty remark that kept everyone laughing. His energy was unmatched. He was one of a kind and will truly be missed.
