On Sunday, April 26, 2020 at approximately 8:40pm, a speeding truck violently struck Petra’s vehicle head on. Petra and her children were headed home after selling food items in a local Downey neighborhood. Petra and her children were immediately rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where they suffered major injuries and severe fractures. Petra is a single mother that would solely support herself and her children by selling raspados and other food items from her van in local cities (South Gate, Bell Gardens, Downey, Bell, Maywood, Huntington Park, etc.) She has no immediate family members nearby to count on. She is the sole provider of her children and is in need of assistance. I have created this GoFundMe in order to assist Petra and her family in this traumatic experience. I would ask that anyone who can contribute would do so in any way possible. Together we can help them rebuild their lives by assisting with housing needs, transportation, medical items/bills, and any other unexpected expenses that may come up in this difficult time.
