Keep the Empty Glass World Famous
Donation protected
We are asking for your help to keep the Empty Glass open after this is all over. The Empty Glass has been a local institution for 35 years. In that time, it has hosted national touring acts, bands right before they hit their fame, classic indie acts, the post-Mountain Stage Jam, and the state’s longest running open mic night. The Empty Glass has helped the community by hosting fundraisers for various causes including juvenile diabetes, autism, breast cancer, heart disease, as well as various local causes. It looks like Chris, who has kept this beloved institution open for the past 19 years, is not going to get a Small Business loan to keep it afloat. At this point, there are multiple generations, local and distant, who derive a sense of comfort and inspiration from simply knowing that a place like the Empty Glass can still exist, a place that’s grounded in a vision of live original music to make a better, richer world for all. In fact, for many of us, a world without the Empty Glass is something we don’t want to imagine. So, we are asking you to join us in helping to keep the lights on and the music going at a place that many of us call home.
