Sunny recently discovered that her breast cancer had metastasized and is now identified as Stage IV due to its spread to the bones and liver. Thankfully the liver lesions are small and Sunny is continuing with conventional treatment.
After much research and consultation the Hawkins are hoping to reverse the current metastasis and prevent further growth and spread and will be traveling to Southern California for 3 weeks of daily outpatient treatments at "Cancer Center for Healing" (CCH) of Irvine.
CCH uses cutting edge treatment modalities that are not widely available in the U.S. This center is the largest integrative oncology clinic in the country, and treats cancer in a holistic way using multiple therapies (some conventional, some naturopathic, and some alternative) that have helped many to recover from stage IV cancer.
All of the daily treatments are "outpatient" so Sunny and Jamie will be needing to rent a lodging accommodation in Southern Calif from April 26 through at least May 15. Their six kids will be at "home" and cared for by family and friend caregivers.
Friends have set up this GO FUND ME campaign with a goal to cover the out of pocket cost of medical care, lodging and meals while away - estimated at $25,000+.
Besides funding assistance over the coming month, the Hawkins are most concerned and desirous of PRAYER INTERCESSION especially in this crazy season of the worldwide pandemic. Yet, time is of the essence for Sunny to receive this treatment.
This is a a HUGE FAITH step for all of the family, and courage and trust in God and wisdom by the medical professionals is essential.
