Moby Dick Go Fund Me Page

Since we first started this GoFundMe page a few things have changed not necessarily for the better. When we first started this page we thought we’d be back up and running by now,however as things change, rules change and more and more people are being admitted to hospitals, we find our opening traveling farther and farther away. Everyone has been so generous to us at this point in time, where just about everyone is in financial straights. We want to thank everyone who has helped us. We have gotten some money in loans, but of course when applying we weren’t expecting to be closed for an extended period of time and didn’t ask for enough to hold us, so this GoFundMe page has helped fill in some of he gaps. We are still in an insecure position as far as maintaining until we open. So we will be looking for different funding, hopefully grants, that will allow us to hang on until that day we can open without putting us deeper into debt. We try to keep our spirits up because we love our little piece of LGBTQ history. Moby Dick is a bar that has always welcomed everyone. We will try even harder in the future to end systemic racism. And that we can somehow be a part of inducing a change. It wasn’t that many years ago that we as gay people fought to be excepted and not discriminated against we all have a long way to go.
