Killa Wasi Covid Emergency Fund
Donation protected
I started Killa Wasi in the summer of 2017 as a food truck and catering company. In late 2019 I joined forces with another chef and planned to expand our operations in early 2020. We moved our truck to a local Austin brewery and were seeing a huge uptick in business at our new location. Catering events were on the rise as well. I wasn’t worried at the start of the pandemic, because we had managed to cut our overhead and there were plenty of government resources that were available for us to take part of, or so it seemed. I have applied for multiple grants, and multiple government assistance options to no avail - and I know it’s not just my small business dealing with this right now. I am beyond frustrated to have to use this platform as a way to pay next months rent, food truck renewal fees, and help my staff - but here we are. This fund will go towards getting our operations going again come May. (Fingers crossed.)
