Zach was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 non-operable arteriovenous malformation in his brain. A brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. The arteries are responsible for taking oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the brain. Veins carry the oxygen-depleted blood back to the lungs and heart. Unfortunately, a brain AVM disrupts this vital process.

Zach is 28 years old and is son of Kirk and Gail. He has worked for about 7 years as a sous chef. Ever since he was little, Zach always wanted to be a Chef! While growing up, he and his dad would cook together and Zach was one of the youngest to take a cooking class with Chef Morimoto. Zach grew up also being very active, playing hockey and enjoying other sports as well. He loves and follows the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers, and Lions - supporting his hometown teams! He and his longtime girlfriend enjoy traveling and being active together. Zach is a loving and gentle person, cares for animals and adopting many to save their lives! He’s the guy that you can always count on if you ever need, selfless and genuine. Unfortunately, a lot of the fun activities he enjoys have been put on hold due to this diagnosis.

With all of the recent and current tests, treatments, and hospital visits, Zach has already incurred a significant amount in expenses with hospital bills. On top of that, he will be undergoing extensive treatment over the following year or two.

Any donation that can be made towards helping Zach with this past and future expenses is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you for all your love, support, and generosity!
