Apt Fire Fund - Help CHS Teacher Steven Boyer

On Friday, April 3rd, a fire destroyed all 18 units in Steven's apartment building where he lives. As of now, the extent of damage due to fire, smoke, and water is not fully known, but according to news reports his home seems to be a major loss. If any of you have had kids in Cary High in the past few years, they would immediately recognize Mr. Boyer from his 9th Grade World History class. Any student who was in his class would tell you he is absolutely one of their favorite teachers. Even in these already difficult times with school being closed and teachers scrambling to pull together resources for online learning, Steven immediately jumped back into his prior role at Lowes Foods, to help the community as an essential worker. I have worked with Steven for years and know first-hand what a truly dedicated and hard-working person he is. The past few weeks I have seen him juggling both his job at the grocery store and his preparations for upcoming school lessons to keep our kids educated. Although he is not asking anything from anyone, whatever you can contribute would help immensely to ease the burden of having to start over!
