My Last Chance - The Immunity Center

Hi, my name is Lindsey; and as of just last month, I am 41 years old. I have stage 4 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. I have been receiving gematabine, cisplatin, and abraxane as my 3 chemo drugs to try and shrink the mass. This path was taken in order to have surgery to remove the mass. Unfortunately the lab test indicators that had been going down, have now begun to go up. My doctors and cancer team, do not have any other medical options for me here; in our country. I was hopeful for clinical trials at NIH; however, with the pandemic those are all on hold. I don’t know that we have that time to wait. My pain and discomfort have increased; which has led to more dependence on pain medicine. While processing this change and options, my husband then gets a call from a friend who was telling him about this wonderful center in Mexico treating his sister in law. She has a GI cancer and is having great success with the treatment she is receiving there. This was after the US has told her the same grim reality as me. While I am still feeling good, my hope is to go to the center to be able to extend my life as long as possible and as comfortably as possible. I am not one to sit still. I am one to take action and this looks like my last possible option. It seems to be our only viable option at this point. I encourage you to look at the center and see what is being offered. I’m not real good at asking for things and writing this is the most humbling thing I have ever done in my life. I just cannot imagine not being able to see a few more of my families Milestones if at all possible. The possibly of receiving this treatment that may lessen my pain, increase my comfort; has given me hope. The positive thought of HOPE is what is keeping us moving on this journey.
