Non Profit Organization

Hello, my name is Noah Alexander, the face of COVID-19 has inspired me to find ways to help vulnerable and underserved populations.  People need support and I want to lead an effort to contribute to addressing some of the needs that exist with this public health crisis and far beyond.  So I decided that I am going to start a nonprofit business dedicated to helping others.   To position my business for success I have researched what it takes to properly set up a business and get nonprofit status.  To my surprise, I learned it costs a lot of money ($1,695-$2,000 see below link for details). I am sixteen-year-old student athlete in 10th grade with nothing close to that amount of money. This lead me to create this GoFundMe page in hopes I can raise enough money to get my organization started.   My nonprofit organization will focus on making a difference in my community, my country and the world. I have several projects that I will start. My first project will involve me, personally, growing fresh vegetables to donate to children and families in need. My second project will involve academic support for students in elementary and middle schools.  Initially, this will be done virtually to follow COVID 19 social distancing guidelines.  I will recruit high school scholars to be tutors and match them to underserved students in need of tutoring. High school students that volunteer to tutor will earn student service learning hours/ community service for their participation in this program.  Additionally, I plan to help improve schools in Africa by providing academic supplies and materials. Lastly, I want to help underserved children and families obtain wellness services that they need (e.g., medical, behavioral, psychosocial, etc.). I will post updates on my progress via this site and share my business website address once it is going.  I will also keep a detailed record of how funds are spent. I will be happy to share the expense report with any of my GoFundMe supporters. Once my organization is up and running I will post updates on my website and provide annual reports to all who have contributed. Any support you can offer is greatly appreciated!  No donation is too small.
