Our Dog Gabby - Vet Bill

My name is Carlos, and my wife Deidre and I are the proud furparents of our 7 year old yellow lab, gabby. We've had her for 3 years now after we rescued her from a family who couldn't keep her, as their other dogs didnt get along. Gabby has been nothing short of a joy to us and has been living a happy, healthy life! She goes with me to softball games and has been dubbed the mascot of a few of our teams. She is truly loved by all and gives everyone that same love and more! Gabby has been losing weight like crazy and not acting herself. We went in for some blood work and she was just recently diagnosed with diabetes. Her glucose levels are 10x what they should be and needs some serious hospital care. The veterinary bills as you can imagine, are serious too. She needs constant regulation and fluids and monitoring, as well as medications for a couple infections she has. The bill is running close to 4000, which is completely unexpected and not something we are capable of paying for. Deidre and i work full time and she has 2 masters degrees. That being said, we are still not in a position to pay this bill, and fear we may have to make a tough decision for us and gabby, as we do not have much time either. I know with the recent events and hard times of today, it is ill timed to ask for help like this. But trust, we would not be here if we did not absolutely need to be.
