PLEASE SHARE & REPOST Here in the heart of Downtown Hilo, Hawaii. Duke's Gentlemen's Barbershop will be CLOSED indefinitely due to the worldwide pandemic of the Coronavirus Disease.
Even with all of the craziness happening, an addition to our shop closing down, there was an unfortunate event where someone had broken our exterior window pane. Reports were made to follow through yet still someone had come to return what they had started by an attempted break-in. Need to repair the window pane when this hopefully rolls over. Luckily, no one was injured or harassed at the time of the event but still shocking that those events had happened.
We have boarded up our shop, looking like a true nitty-gitty apocalyptical movie scene.
As many of our clients know, THIS IS A ONE BARBER CHAIR SHOP.
We do not receive any benefits or official government help, although its been a wonderful one year being in business, this shop is our life and sadly, we work in a place where deemed non-essential, being out of work stretching our income that we have as much as possible, we know some things don't last.
We Love our work, this barbershop, your company, and the clients we have come to know. We understand this is your hair THEARAPY time, when you would tell no one else all the secrets that you share with us or even just chilling out with our doggie Chowder and feeling your worth at our barbershop.
You should know that YOU keep this little place of ours ALIVE.
Despite everything that is happening around the world, I believe that we will push through all of this.
