Family Assistance for Passing of Mario V. Garza
Donation protected
Hello All. Our good friend and his family experienced some unexpected circumstances and are in need of assistance. We started this fundraiser for them because they don’t typically ask for help, but are really in need of assistance.
On March 19th, our friend received a call from his youngest brother saying his father was rushed to the hospital. When Mario Junior got to the hospital, he was forbidden to go inside because of the of the influx of coronavirus cases. On March 20th, the family received a call from the hospital that informed them that their father, Mario V. Garza, passed away unexpectedly. The world lost a truly amazing man, a great father, and a loving grandfather.
Mario is survived by 2 older sisters, a younger brother, 4 children, and 7 grandchildren. Mario’s youngest son is immune compromised with a bone marrow transplant, who cannot work currently because of him being high risk for the coronavirus. Mario was his caretaker. Other members of the family have also had severe pay cuts because of the coronavirus, and aren’t able to handle the expenses that are piling up.
The family is in need of some help to pay for living expenses and additional memorial services. Any additional funds left over will be allocated to memorial services at Southern Methodist University where Mario worked for 19 years.
Anybody who met Mario knows how amazing of a person he was. He had an amazing sense of humor and was loved by all.
Any assistance will help the family tremendously. Our hearts go out to others who are experiencing loss of family members and loved ones during this horrible time.
