Masvingo Hospital COVID-19 PPE Supplies

The Ventilator Fund(GA Vent Fund) , aims to support The Masvingo Provincial Hospital, which as the Province's biggest referral center , caters for the estimated 1.7 million population, yet like most health institutions in Zimbabwe now faces the double tragedy of a financial crisis that has ravaged Zimbabwe for decades, and more recently the world's biggest post World War 1 pandemic. A severe shortage of personal protective equipment threatens to bring operations to a grinding halt, with health workers fearing an infection that has affected more than half a million people with more than 30 000 deaths globally, taking with it the lives of hundreds of health care professionals in the process. GA VentFund is targeting USD25 000 to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ): surgical and general respiratory masks, gloves, sanitisers and other critical equipment and materials, without which thousands of lives are at risk. We are aware that even these efforts might not be enough, but we cannot watch from the terraces and allow lives to be lost under our watch.
