Putting My Pride On The Shelf

Dear Friends, These past two years I’ve kept my personal struggles extremely private. When Purr closed, I lost everything. My dream had vanished. Relationships lost. My mental and emotional well being suffered tremendously. Financially I was ruined. And so was my pride. I dramatically downsized my life. I’ve had 5 jobs since then, but have struggled with finding the right fit both financially and emotionally. My current job laid me off last week and was told they were not hiring back any of their salaried managers once they reopen. My unemployment benefits are based off the last 18 months. So many gaps in my employment during that time. I find myself, once again, struggling to survive during such a difficult crisis.
