Duncan's battle with Cancer

UPDATE: 3/7/20 Duncan is going to be getting chemotherapy starting March 9th 5 days a week 4 hours per day at the Sloan Kettering Basking Ridge, NJ location. He will be getting 3 IV drugs because the cancer spread initially and the nodules are still in his abdomen and both lungs as he coughs a lot. He will also be taking 5 medications at home. He will be getting Chemotherapy for 4 months depending on the outcome of the chemo, he may or may not need addition surgery to remove the nodules in his abdomen and both of his lungs. Im setting up this Go Fund Me page for our son to assist him and our family through this tough period and for his recovery and his long-term medical needs. Our world changed on February 10th when our son Duncan went to the dr for a routine cough after having bronchitis 2 weeks prior. The Dr sent Duncan for an X-Ray of his lungs just as a precaution. The news was not what we had expected. There were nodules on both of his lungs and the dr issued a CT Scan, blood work and a sonogram. We finally received a call from his PCP again and she was upset. She told us that Duncan had cancer. Our 22 year old son had cancer. As parents, my husband and I were speechless. We decided to make a call to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Basing Ridge NJ, recommendation from our Uncle Bill.. We met with a great dr and he said Duncan had Germ Cell Cancer (Testicular Cancer). This cancer spread to his abdomen to his both lungs. The dr at Basking Ridge referred us to his fellow dr's in NY Sloan Kettering location who specializes in this cancer. We had an appointment in 2 days upon meeting with the Sloan Kettering NJ dr. Duncan and I (mom) met with 2 great doctors in the NY location and both were very adamant about getting the root rumor in is testicle out. So our son had Testicular Cancer surgery Friday February 21,2020. as his parents this hurts and we are keeping positive for him. Our son is a fighter and never backs down from anything. He loves to draw, play guitar and play his video games. of course talk to his friends on Facebook and Instagram. He very loving and compassionate and we will help him get through this. We love our son soo much.
