Relief Fund - For Laid Off Baldamar Staff
Donation protected
As many of you know we have countless hourly service industry workers that are suddenly out of a job. We are the servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, bussers, cooks and dishwashers that help take care of you and shape the dining experiences you so enjoy. We love taking care of you, and hope to be doing so again – and soon. But today we need your help.
We are in the early innings of the COVID-19 battle and our beloved restaurant community is feeling the squeeze. Lost income from social distancing initiatives and general fears will take their toll on everyone, especially hourly workers. While we all stay inside with our families, please consider making a donation to help families in need.
HOW IT WILL WORK: All funds will be distributed to front-of-house and kitchen staff on a need-basis to employees who demonstrate COVID-19 related hardship due to reduced hours/shifts/wages. Maximum compensation per employee is $500. NO AMOUNT TOO SMALL, NO AMOUNT TOO LARGE.
In addition, in this age of virtual communities, it’s vital we preserve our social gathering places! Most restaurants do not have the working capital to survive a prolonged downturn of this magnitude. If you want your favorite restaurants to survive – so we have places to return to both for you to enjoy and for us to work – please consider ordering takeout or purchasing gift cards to help them weather this difficult time
Stay healthy, everyone.
Thanks a million, Emma Books
