Three words that nobody should or wants to hear. 

On Jan 12, our friend, our sister, Carmela was diagnosed with Invasive Carcinoma Breast Cancer.

This news changed Carmela's life in an instance. She is a mother of 3, she takes care of her mother, she is their provider. She has the world on her shoulders. If you know Mela, you know she has never asked for anything. She is a hard worker, a wonderful mother, a loving and caring friend. She will give you the shirt off of her back.   

It took a lot of convincing to get her to allow us to do this for her.  Unfortunately, she had just started training at her new job when she found out she had cancer, she had to make the decision to leave it.  She never wants to ask for help. But as her friends, we know she needs it. 

She will have her Lumpectomy on February 24th. They will remove the tumor and some lymph nodes to make sure they get all of the cancer. She will need 3 weeks to recover, if not more. She will go back in March to find out If she will need to do radiation, chemotherapy or some other type of treatment. 

Your donations will allow Carmela to heal without having to stress about her bills. Your donations will go to medical bills, medication expenses, living expenses, etc. 

Carmela has a strong and positive attitude as she is a woman of faith. She knows; that God will guide her in the right direction. We named this Mela's Mission because she has more to give, and she will give back!! She has a higher purpose!
