Create a Safe Zone in Harlow PEADS A&E
Donation protected
Having a child with a health condition means more time in hospital and a lot more trips to A&E. Daisy spends alot of time in The Princess Alexandra Hospital A&E department,
Taking a child like Daisy to A&E can be be a risk, Daisy has a compromised immune system therefore a waiting area becomes a place where she can catch bugs and viruses fair more easily but at times i have no choice but to take her.
When we attend A&E Daisy is normally offered an area away from the main waiting area but at busy times this isn't always possible.
So Daisy's wish is to raise money to fund a safe zone, a non clinical room within the department that can be offered to children like Daisy and children with sensory issues, any child that will struggle in that environment.
Daisy's 21 wishes has been allocated a room so our aim is to raise as much money so that we can decorate the room bright and cheery, with sensory toys, relaxing lights, makaton lanyards to assist doctors and nurses when assessing a child who has trouble communicating. Our aim is to make a room that children feel safe in,
The room will also be available to parents receiving difficult news .
We know this will make such a difference to so many families and in advance i thank you all for your support
