Jo was innocently enjoying a lovely Valentine's Day celebration of love and music with me. Within hours, she was being medivaced off San Juan Island, with sudden weakening of muscles, and odd paralysis. My love, my wife, my life, had just suffered an extremely rare spinal stroke. And so begins this saga.....
Update 6/9/20. Jo's husband Scott here. It’s been a while since Jo’s stroke. She is now at home under care from a caregiver and myself. We had set up our first fundraiser which all of you donated to big time! That is such a humbling experience. Unfortunately, we are now faced once again with major costs, the aforementioned caregiver and a motorized wheelchair capable van. Since her recovery will be measured in years, we need this type of vehicle as a medical necessity. Of course, it is also for mental health and quality of life as well.
Any money you donate will be used strictly for expenses relating to a van.
Whether you wish to donate or not, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts
