In Honor of Talia Jane Yoder
Donation protected
Our dear, sweet Talia Jane Yoder, (“Dew from Heaven”), walked into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 7:00 a.m. She did so while being held by her mother and father, Naomi and Brendon Yoder.
Our little warrior fought, against all odds, to survive and be with her family. During her six weeks of dancing between heaven and earth, little Talia transformed people’s lives, inspiring them to have greater faith, returning some to God and drawing others closer to God. Talia’s family will cherish the memories of her beautiful eyes, her sweet smile, her strength and determination, her twirly hair, her head bobs, her love of worship music, her little squawks, and her joy in being in nature. She was a rare diamond loved by one and all, far and wide.
Naomi and Brendon would like to thank all of Talia’s caregivers, (in and out of the hospital), Talia’s family and friends, and all who have been with them on this journey, following Talia’s life on her CaringBridge page, offering up prayers and beautiful words of compassion and support, and sending them so many wonderful gifts and meals. It has been such a blessing and comfort to them to be so wholly embraced by the Body of Christ.
Even though Talia lived her short life on the cusp of this world and eternity, it is still hard to say good-bye, for now. While the Yoder family and extended family are overjoyed that Talia’s struggles are over and relieved she is being cared for by Jesus, they are going to miss her terribly. It has been a long and intense road from Talia’s miracle birth, to her nine days being stabilized and evaluated in the NICU, and finally to being cared for at home on hospice.
Throughout this journey, the Yoders have incurred many uncovered medical expenses for Talia, (including Talia’s hospitalization, care in and out of the hospital, and medical equipment to have her at home).
The Yoders plan to take Talia’s body to Meyersdale, Pennsylvania to have a service and bury her there among her Yoder extended family. This celebration will be followed by a Celebration of Life for Talia in Oregon this summer. In so doing, they will be facing some significant costs for funeral preparations with two funeral homes, (one in Texas and one in Pennsylvania), a headstone for Talia, the costs for celebrations of her life in both Pennsylvania and Oregon, and transportation costs to have the Yoder family travel to Oregon.
This fundraiser has been established to allow the Yoder family to grieve their little Talia without having that grief compounded by financial worries and pressure. Thank you in advance for your continued kindness and generosity in contributing to this fundraiser. Please help make this viral and continue to bless this beautiful family in their time of loss.
Any donated funds will be directly deposited into Brendon and Naomi Yoder’s bank account and withdrawn only by them to pay these and any related expenses.
Talia Jane Yoder will always be loved and cherished by her parents, Brendon and Naomi, her siblings Luke, Silas and Analeigh, her extended family, her friends, her caregivers, and her supporters all over the world.
In celebration of Talia’s life, we remember her sweet spirit and her verse "The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion." Psalm 116:5.
