Sorley And Sorleycita’s Fund

On Friday February 28th my sister Sorley and my 13 year old niece Sorleycita were on their way to the West Jordan Vasa Gym for their daily workout, it is their daughter and mom time they always look forward to.
Five minutes into the drive they were involved in a 3 car collision on 7800 S and 5600 W intersection.
The impact affected Sorleycita the most causing open wounds to her face, broken clavicle, broken rib and she has not been able to eat or drink because of internal swelling.
My sister and my niece were transported by ambulance to separate hospitals but Sorleycita was transported in critical condition and later admitted to Intermountain primary children’s hospital where she is in care of different doctors and specialists.
My family and I are asking for the help and support from our close friends and our community to help my sister’s family during this difficult time since she won’t be able to work and is also recovering from her injuries.
My niece is a very sweet girl, a very loving daughter, sister, niece and friend. She has the most beautiful smile and face, and loves to do her makeup and hair. She is an amazing swimmer for the Kearns Oquirrh Team and loves Zumba dancing. She currently attends the 7th grade at the Ascent academy In West Jordan.
Sorleycita is my only niece and I am so proud of her for being so strong, a fighter and enduring through this horrible tragedy.
Thank you to the first responders and the people at the scene for giving them the care they needed I that moment.
We appreciate all the help and support to the Perez Calixto Family during this difficult time .
