Help Lance Conaghan Fight Motor Neurone Disease
Donation protected
We need your help to make the time that Lance & Natalie have together the best that it can possibly be.
Our amazing friend Lance has recently, and extremely unexpectedly, been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. To say this has come as a shock to Lance, Nat and those closest to them would be an understatement.
What started in January with body cramps, weakening muscles in his right hand and the inability to properly get his words out, resulted in a diagnosis which has turned their lives upside down.
MND is a disease that causes rapidly progressive muscle weakness, it affects the nerve cells that control the muscles which enable you to move, speak, breathe and swallow. Tragically, there is no cure and the disease progresses extremely swiftly, with the outlook, on average, around 2.5 years.
Lance is 52 years young, a strong, proud man, a father of 3, step-father of 1 and poppa of 2, who only just married his best friend and life love, Natalie, 4 years ago. They had big plans of being grey nomads together, but those plans have now been completely upheaved.
Lance and Nat still are hoping for the best possible quality of life together before MND takes hold.
