Help Nate's Care Continue
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Nate and his family during this difficult time. The current donations have been an incredible blessing to the Lewis family and have been instrumental in Nate's recovery so far. The Lewis’ send heartfelt “Thank Yous” to everyone who has already donated. As Nate’s condition stabilizes the financial needs are becoming more clear. We have increased the GoFundMe goal to match up with those needs.
Nate has been showing many positive signs as he heals and his body stabilizes. He remains in a vegetative state (which means he is no longer in a coma) and is now at home and in his next phase of recovery.
That next phase is being home where he can recover in a safe and familiar environment. We ask you to consider donating to help support Nate's ongoing recovery. Dan and Michelle are humbly asking for financial support to cover the supplies needed to best care for Nate at home as well as bringing in-home care help until they can transition to Medi-Cal Insurance and State Sponsored programs.
Here's how your donations directly impact Nate’s recovery. The list of needs is very specific. Dan and Michelle will use your donations to purchase the listed items below. They have been researching these needs and thank you in advance for your help.
We will update this list as the items are purchased and Nate continues to heal.

Nate's Accident
On Friday night, February 21, 2020 at around 9:10 pm, Nate was hanging out with his friends at Biola riding skateboards. Nate was in the lead and turned onto a street where he was hit by a pickup truck. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered significant head and brain trauma. Nate was taken to UCI Medical Center, where he was unresponsive. Neurosurgeons removed both sides of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain. Over the past few weeks there have been some positive signs based on response to stimulus but he remains in a coma and still has a long road of healing ahead. We ask you to pray for Nate as we know God can heal. We put our trust in Him because we know that he cares. Please join us in praying for Nate's restoration and the whole family during this difficult time.
