Willow's Gymnastics Journey to Nationals!

Hi! I'm Willow's mom, Gilliane. My daughter has been in gymnastics since she was 4 yrs old. She first started with recreational practices but it wasn't long before we recognized her love for the sport. It was history from there! Willow is now competing with the YMCA Haverhill Gymstars. Willow is a first year level 3 gymstar and just 8 years old. She qualified for Nationals in December 2019. At first, I wasn't sure how we were going to make this happen. My husband was out of work earlier this year due to surgery. We're paying off medical bills while trying to get back on our feet. To reduce the expense, we've decided that only one of us will take her. But even still the costs is outside of our budget. Long Beach CA from Boston in June for 6 days. Hotel, flights, car rental, parking, food, entrance fees on top of registration fees, leotard, and warm-ups. Yikes! But the program is changing next year where she won't be able to attend Nationals until she is a few levels up. I have to make this happen for her! She has been working so hard! We're saving as much as possible but it leaves me no choice but to ask for help. Something I'm not very good at.. asking for help. Willow has amazing family and friends who know how hard she is working and her passion for this sport. I don't know of another 8 year who watches You Tube videos of the UCLA and Florida Gators gymnastics team determined to be as good as them.
