Petey is our 7 year old little baby that who has been recently diagnosed with Iris Melanoma. After seeing an Ophthalmologist, we were told that the tumor has progressed rapidly and soon will cover his entire eye. The tumor will cause vision loss and leaving him at risk of the cancer spreading to other parts of his body. His only option at this point to be able to live a happy, healthy and cancer free life is to have his eye removed. Furthermore, the Ophthalmologist would like to get this done within 2-3 weeks and at most 1 month. We have had Petey for about 4 years now and it has been the best 4 years any of us could have asked for. He is our best friend, little child, little brother and we want to do what’s best for him and his future. Many might or might not know Petey but he possibly is the best pet any family could ask for. We have set up this fund to cover the X-Ray exam of his chest to make sure nothing else has spread, his blood work, the Eye Removal surgery and the biopsy to make sure everything went well at the end of the surgery.
