This past week has been nothing short of an absolute nightmare. For those of you who haven’t been updated, Tyler wasn’t on his dirt bike when he got hurt. He was standing on the side watching people ride when someone lost control of their bike and sent the bike straight at Tyler. A freak accident that has left the love of my life, a son, friend, nephew, grandson, cousin in very questionable and scary conditions. Tyler is improving though, and each day has gotten better. We are out of the ICU and in the trauma care unit! Praying he will be discharged from Regions by the end of this weekend where he will then be brought directly to inpatient care at St. Luke’s in Duluth. He’ll be there for 2-4 weeks depending on his progress. Although he won’t be able to come home right away, he’ll be so much closer which will make life much easier! After rehab, he’ll need 24/7 care at home for a couple months. Between the helicopter ride, ICU, and rehab Tyler is going to be facing thousands and thousands of dollars of care that insurance will not cover. He won’t be alone in these expenses, for I will help with every single dime that I can. But I am setting aside my pride and asking for help from friends and family too, for Tyler. The amount of help and love we’ve been given already is more than I could ever ask for which makes it difficult to ask for more. But I think Tyler will need all the help he can get. Thank you everyone, from the bottom of my heart. ♥️
