Hi, my name is Ali, I am Leroys mom. I rescued him when he was about 12 weeks old. As he was growing I noticed he would be playing and randomly scream in pain and collapse and not be able to move or get up. I brought him in to do Xrays and found out he has no sockets to hold his hips in place so they shift around and cause extreme pain. In these times I feel absolutely helpless, I can’t do anything except comfort him and wait till he’s comfortable again. I shopped around and got estimates for hip replacement surgery and each hip is about 8,000-10,000 and he needs both replaced. I rescued him wanting to give him the best life possible and with these circumstances I am unable to afford the help and care he needs and breaks my heart to see him in constant pain. As I was getting bigger, I realized I was having a very hard time keeping up with my older brother when we would play. It was extremely painful, I would cry and not be able to move for hours. For now I am trying to control the pain with medication but I really want to live a happy normal fun life I deserve. Please help me get new hips so I can finally be pain free!
