Ginger Tanner Needs Love

Hello friends and family, Sean Tanner here. This is very hard to put out into the world because it’s not been the easiest over the last couple of months. Back in October after months of battling the city to keep vaping products affordable and available to our customers we made the choice to close our doors. Halloween 2019 marked the end of a Boulder Vapor House’s 6+ year run of success. At first this was scary but as we took the next month opening ourselves to new ideas and packing up the store we found ourselves with a couple really great new ventures and an eye on new opportunities. December 12th 2019 was the day we handed off the keys. The plan was to take the time through the holidays to reflect on our accomplishments and move onward into 2020 with a fresh start. That day did not go as expected. While I was at the store finalizing things, Ginger had a Dr.’s appointment. She previously went to the doctors for a routine checkup. At that appointment Ginger went through a biopsy surgery. Ginger had a small mass in one of her breasts and at the time was likely to be nothing. When going to the doctors on the 12th the results proved to be different. Ginger called me that afternoon in shock only to tell me she has Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Without a moment to breath we were faced with a rapid left turn in our journey to maintain a happy healthy family. Of course this won’t stop us from trying but moving into our next venture at this time is not in the cards. Ginger is strong but with the diagnosis she received and with the cancer as aggressive as it is, the treatments are just as aggressive and come at a price. We do have insurance and she is getting the best care Boulder Colorado can provide at Rock Mountain Cancer Center but this is nothing you can plan financially. The both of us currently have no income and this treatment will carry beyond June 2020. Once the treatment is complete, based on the results Ginger will then be faced with surgery, PT and likely more Chemo treatments moving into the summer. She will be unable to work at all this year wether it be a job or contributing to these new venture ideas. It’s been tough on #TeamTanner. Our daughter Annalyce, the strong minded girl she is was shocked at 1st but as her moms “#1 FAN” has adapted to these changes in life. We love her so much and see greatness in her beyond our expectations. We are asking on this day of “LOVE” to help in this time of need. Whether it’s a couple of bucks reposting this to get the word out or this post inspires you to come visit us, I think we’ve done our job. This money will go towards Ginger’s insurance/treatments which we now know will exceed $10,000 dollars. Ginger tends to keep things to herself so I apologize to all the people that are finding out about this now. I’m kind of that way too. We also kindly ask in reaching out that you all try your best not to bombard Ginger with excessive calls when she needs her rest. Please PM or text her and she will do her best to get back to you.
