‘Let’s Hit Cancer For Six’

Last year, over 40 members of South Wingfield Cricket Club took part in the Derby 10K! The day was a huge success, with loads of money being raised for our chosen charity and the club. This year, we're back again! And there's more of us! On Sunday, 29 March, over 50 members will be taking part in the 10 km race, with another 30 (or more) running in the 3 km race (our mighty juniors!) all hoping to support the cause ... Prostate Cancer UK's top priority is funding research to stop prostate cancer killing men. They are investing millions to find better treatments and better tests that can spot fast-growing cancers early, and could be used in a screening programme to save thousands of lives. As a club, we hope to support this initiative by raising as much money as possible. Further to this, we hope to use the money raised to support the club, develop facilities and continue to accommodate for our thriving player and supporter, family-orientated community.
