Delbarton Freshman Project
Donation protected
Thank you for taking the first step in supporting my fundraiser. As you know, I’m currently a Freshman at the Delbarton School in Morristown, NJ. It has been both a challenging and rewarding year, but a seamless transition from Far Hills Country Day.
At Delbarton, during Freshman year, we have a year-long project which allows us to pursue our interests and get out of our comfort zone. This project also gives us the opportunity to finish something we have always aspired to accomplish. For example, previous pursuits have included renovating a home, a Delbarton Monopoly board and an app for navigating campus. I’m creating a Delbarton gaming system from scratch which is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time but just haven’t had the time to do it. I’m doing this for my project because I think that it’s my time to give back to the Delbarton community as it has given me so much throughout my time attending here. In just the 6 months that I’ve attended Delbarton, I have learned a great deal of things from brotherhood to integrity to due diligence.
After looking at the Delbarton Mothers Guild sponsored annual event, I believe this PC setup will be more appealing to students and adults alike, thus raising revenue for the Delbarton community by offering it as an auction piece at our annual fundraiser. My overall budget for the project is $2,000, which I can achieve with donations from organizations and families who believe in the Delbarton mission, Succisa Virescit. Translated from Latin, “once cut down, one will grow back stronger.” I was cut down by this setback regarding my budget and I’m overcoming this by figuring out ways to reach my budget of $2,000 by March 31, 2020.
With your support, I can give back to the community that has given me so much and along the way learn concepts that are needed in today’s society. Some concepts that are valuable learning lessons in this process are entrepreneurship, organization and diligence in building something useful that will help the community. This goes without saying, but there’s no pressure in contributing to my cause. Below, kindly find a link to my GoFundMe page. Above all, I genuinely appreciate your consideration and time. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
