Tay's Second Surgery!

Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this. As some of you know, my brother is getting ready to have a second shoulder surgery on March 15, 2021.
In September 2019 Taylor started having shoulder pain that did not improve with time or over-the-counter treatments. The pain was caused by a ping pong ball sized Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) wrapped around his long thoracic nerve. Although the last surgery was successful in the removal of the AVM. The damage had already been done to his long thoracic nerve and serratus anterior muscle, causing severe winging of the scapula. This condition has made using his left arm extremely painful. After a year of physical therapy exercises and pain management, Tay is getting ready for another surgery in the hopes of stimulating the nerve to incite regeneration.
What we know: Taylor’s long thoracic nerve is severely damaged causing painful winging of the scapula. The surgery will be invasive, recovery time will be extensive, insurance won't cover it all and he has no short-term disability to help cover time to convalesce.
What we don't know: If the surgery will kick start regeneration of the long thoracic nerve. If it does not Taylor will need an extremely invasive Pectoral Tendon Transfer surgery to fix his scapula.
The goal amount covers his out-of-pocket insurance costs and roughly 6 weeks’ worth of bills. Any amount that you can contribute is a huge help. The proceeds will go towards Tay’s medical bills, physical therapy appointments, and basic living expenses while he recovers. Thank you!
Sabrina Mckechnie will be named as the beneficiary of this campaign. She is our mother and will be managing Tay's finances as he recovers.
