Lance Strong, The Heart Of A Warrior

I’m creating this page to help my Nephew Lance and my sister Crystall. On Thursday, January 30th Lance left school sick with what they thought was the Flu. By Friday he had a high fever and was not making sense when talking. His pediatrician suggested taking him to the ER. Early Saturday February 1st, they admitted us into TC Thompson’s PICU. They began running all kinds of test. He’s had many CTs, MRIs, EEG, Echos, Spinal Tap, and Blood Cultures. As the results began to come in they told us he had MSSA Endocarditis. They also discovered he had a piece of MSSA Bacteria sitting on his Right Heart Valve. Pieces of this bacteria began flicking off and going to his Brain. This has caused several mini strokes and a larger stroke area. On Tuesday February 4 they decided he would be transferred to Egleston in Atlanta. There the Drs decided he needed to have Open Heart Surgery to remove the bacteria from his heart. My sister is a single Mom, who cleans houses for a living. And she would help anyone in the world, and give them anything she had if they ask. I’m praying this campaign will help relieve some of the stress of bills, that sadly will not stop just because Lance is sick.
