“De Novo” Metastatic Disease.
- From the beginning

“I am the .06%”

Those are some of the words I stated when I was originally diagnosed in my 20s. From the start I knew it would be a journey, one to be made with loved ones and strangers alike and especially with myself. This, this is my story.

Let’s start, my names Jinny and I’m 30 years old and this is my second go around with cancer. This time I wasn’t so lucky but that doesn’t discourage my will to live for those I truly love with my very being. Those being my wonderful family especially my mini me who I couldn’t live without. My amazing passionate friends who push me to do my best, and last but not least my compassionate ever so charming boyfriend who I could love till the end of my years.

I was originally diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer with mets to my bones in 2017. I beat it early 2018 and became NED (no evidence of disease). I enjoyed every moment of my win until I fell ill in late October of 2019 with viral pneumonia and bronchitis. To my surprise I was in between insurances so I did not have coverage.

After 2 hospital visits with issues with my breathing and no luck with medications I was finally admitted. 2 in the morning rolls around and the doctor comes in. He states my cancer had returned. I was devastated and alone in that tiny room and the fear of leaving behind those I loved so much set in. My world came crashing down.

From that day on I was admitted another 4 times within a 3 month span in this it included minor operations to my lungs and spine. This lead to more scans, blood tests and finally finding out the cancer had spread to my lungs, liver, lower and upper spine, and most of my hip bones. On top of this diagnose I had broken my spine in two places after a simple fall down the stairs, my hips had given out on me one of the signs my body was failing me. After a slew procedures and medications, present day I’m still thriving and fighting.

This gofund me was set up in hopes to relieve financial strain that I am undergoing. Unable to work and having minimal income coming in it has made it harder to afford the medical treatment and to live a sustainable life.

Your support will pay for :

Thank you for reading my story, no thank you for being a part of it. Even knowing people are reading this gives me hope that I will live on a long life for not just myself but for everyone who is fighting for me to succeed in this life. A simple share goes a long way even if you don’t have the means to donate. I want to tell my story and inspire those my age to always know your life is worth living for even in the darkest times.
