My dear friend Frank Schiavi has passed to a better life joining his loving mother that he dearly missed. With a heavy heart is hard to say goodbye or may be a see you later. Frank had no family left behind, at the age of 93 with 2/04 was his birthday he lived a long life. His brain full of memories. Born in Spain, raised in Italy and lived most of his adult life in San Francisco. He spoke English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. A great person to pick his brain, he was like a walking encyclopedia.
I met Frank, in a time that we both needed each other. I had just lost my grandmother and he was a person in need of a friend. My only regret is the feeling that I could have done more for him.
His final wish is to be cremated and his ashes to be scattered on the lovely desert of our city of Las Vegas. A place he called home for the last 20 years of his life.
Today I come to you with a heavy, saddened and humble heart. To ask for your help to fulfill Frank’s final day wish. Unfortunately Frank didn’t have any money, nor any life insurance to ensure his remains would be taken care of. I as a friend wouldn’t be able to live if I would leave his remains in a funeral home. So today, I am trying my best to give him our proper goodbye.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Francisco.
