Acxa’s Surgery Recovery

So, this is it. My surgery is scheduled for April 1st. It's finally happening.

I wish I had the words to convey just how important this is to me. This surgery has been an albatross around my neck for so long. I haven't been able to truly live my life - pursue a career, fully explore romance, even stuff as simple as being able to go swimming - everything has been on indefinite hold until this one final step in my transition is over. I can't tell you how many times I've found myself sobbing in the shower, or having panic attacks worrying that this will never happen, and that I'll always have this horrible body part sapping my energy. And I can't express the sheer relief that the end of this nightmare is just around the corner. I just want this to be over.

With that said, I need help seeing this through to the finish line. My insurance covers the surgery, but I still have living expenses during the recovery, my deductible, and several months of insurance premiums I'll need to be able to pay for while I recover. I also need to make sure that, even after the deductible, I have a cushion to cut into my insurance's out-of-pocket maximum.

I know this is quite a lot to raise so quickly, and many of you have already helped as much as you can. If you can't donate, please consider sharing this with people you know and tell them just how important this is.

When I say, "This is it," I mean this is it. This is the last time I ever intend to ask for financial help like this. When this is over, I can finally dive headlong into not only fully providing for myself, but also paying every bit of this and more forward.
