Cindy Wilder is a lifelong Cosmetologist, wife and mother of two from Raleigh, NC.  If you ask anyone that knows her, Cindy is one of the most kind, funny, selfless people you will ever meet.  She would gladly give someone the shirt off of her back even if it was the last one that she had.

Unfortunately, Cindy has now had to undergo her second major shoulder surgery.  For anyone that knows anything about how hairstylists get their money, they get paid on a per client basis.  There is no yearly salary, no health benefits involved and when you're out of your job for medical reasons, a lot of the time you are still required to pay your booth rent.  When stylists undergo surgeries like this, they are out of commission for the weeks and months it takes to heal as a lot of hairstyling involves lifting your arms above your head.

Cindy went in for what was supposed to be a routine rotator cuff surgery, but it ended up being so much more than that.  Cindy, on top of having two of her four rotator cuff tendons torn, also had a torn labrum and several bone spurs in her shoulder that needed to be removed.  On top of all of this, they also had to do work to her bicep.  She was told at a recent doctor's appointment that it was going to be a full month more recovery time than they had told her to begin with.

As a hairstylist, your hands, your arms, your shoulders...they're your lifeline.  The things that keeps your income steady and right now, Cindy doesn't have that.  To make matters worse, her beloved fur baby, Colton (Colt, for short) had to have surgery yesterday to remove tumors from his chest.  

I have set our goal at $5,000 to help Cindy with whatever left over medical bills she will have to pay, physical therapy, help with Colt's surgery, and just some money to help with hard times.  Cindy has an enormous heart and I think a lot of people in our community and among our friend group can agree that she has touched many, many lives.  I think it's only fair that we be good to her when life has decided not to be.  

Please, even if you can only donate $1, $5, $10...please consider it.  Every little bit helps and gives hope, even if you don't think it will.  





Cindy is wildly loved by anyone that comes into contact with her, and she is a blessing to be around and to have the privilege to know.  She loves what she does and her passion is making people feel and know just how beautiful they are.  She's always there with a story to make someone laugh or encouragement in times of trouble or distress.
