Susan's Gallbladder Surgery
I've had gallstones for about three years. While I have managed the pain with diet, occasionally I'll have what I call a "gallbladder attack," which often makes me double over crying in pain. To manage this, I have been prescribed powerful pain medication, but the medication in turn makes me very inebriated. As a result, I'm essentially out of commission for the next several hours, making me unable to work or be productive until the medication wears off. These pain meds also keep me awake at night, meaning that if the attack happens late enough in the day I'm kept awake all night, requiring me to catch up on sleep the next day, causing me to lose even more time and productivity thanks to this issue. With this surgery, I will no longer have gallstones, which means I will no longer need the medications and I can resume my normal life without that interruption. I appreciate any donations that will come. Thank you so much.
