Dave has been married to Heather for 33 years. They have two sons and a grandson who all live in Florida. Dave works with plants and plays trumpet. He has been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. He has a baseball sized tumor in his lower abdomen. It is not attached to any organs but is wrapped around the renal vein to the right kidney. It is also invading the IVC - Inferior Vena Cava (main vein to the heart from the lower body). He is having surgery to remove the tumor. They will not cut through the tumor, so they may have to remove the kidney. Surgeons expect the IVC will have to be reconstructed which will require a heart bypass machine. Surgery may take 10-12 hours with 4 different surgeons. Recovery will last at least two months. More treatments may follow surgery. Prognosis is good. 


Bills are piling up as a result of him being off work and having all kinds of tests and procedures done. Your prayers and any amount of financial assistance will be a blessing.
