Hi, my name is Tia Richardson. On March 25th my dad was admitted from the nursing facility he was staying in to the hospital& was diagnosed with COVID-19 several days later. Doctor & nurses told me he was gonna be ok at first & fight through the virus. March 30th I received a devastating call letting me know my dad has declined & had to be put on 15mL of oxygen due to his oxygen levels declining & that's as far they could go. He wasn't breathing on his own anymore. The doctor then told me that I had to make the hardest decision ever, an ultimatum of either, putting him through an incubator, to let him try to fight or setting up comfort care to let him pass on slowly. But the doctor assured me that either way I went he wasn't gonna make it due to his medical history & his age. So, instead of me being the selfish daughter I knew I could've been due to the fact that I hadn't already seen my dad for a whole month because of the facility visitor restriction, I went the comfort care way & he passed on a week later with me on his side every step of the way after they FINALLY let me in the hospital to be with him ONLY because he was on his death bed. I'm in need of help with his cremation. Any donations will go towards my dad's cremation arrangements. I thank yall so much. I pray & hope everyone is taking this virus serious & I hope you're keeping yourself & family safe. Appreciate the love & support! *GOD BLESS*
