Ethan's Hope

Ethan DeHoek was born prematurely on August 2, 2012 in Grand Rapids, MI.  Due to complications, two weeks after he was born, Ethan's intestines and bowel were removed.  Ethan went to the Nebraska Medical Center, and later the Pittsburgh Medical Center, to be evaluated for a transplant.  Ethan and his family spent many months in Omaha.  While most of Ethan's direct medical expenses are covered by insurance, many of the costs of caring for him at home are not.  Primarily due to his extensive medical and physical challenges, it was determined that Ethan is not a viable candidate for an organ transplant.  His parents, Lindsey and Brian, and brother Parker are determined to fill his remaining time creating memories and making sure Ethan is loved until he makes his journey into heaven .  Unfortunately it has not been possible to buy life insurance for Ethan, so there are minimal funds available for Ethan's funeral.  Your donation will help with Ethan's living expenses and eventual funeral cost.
