(Artist, Chef, Entrepreneur) Thomas Batista Correa

My name is Ashley. I have worked with Thomas for about 3 years now and have heard his story through and through. He is such a gentle kind hearted person who loves anyone he comes in contact with. His life has kind of fallen apart with the loss of his Partner, mother, and brother all within 3 years of each other. He thrives just to be able to work with people like you and I. Painting, cooking, talking, you name it. He directed at and owned his own art school, Batista School of Art. Owned his own restaurant with his late husband, Tom and Jerry's. Most recently, he has suffered what seems to be a diabetic stroke. His vision is impaired in his right eye. He cannot remember most names of those closest to him, and unfortunately has been told he may never be able to live alone again (i.e. hospice care) and is devastated. He has also lost the ability to read. He lives for people. If anyone could please donate or at the very least, go check out some of his art, he would greatly appreciate it.
