On may 18th 2019 Ernie (papa)was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer. A day I as his wife will never forget. A day that changed our life forever. Ernie had already been diagnosed with diabetes, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and had also had a heart attack where they placed a stint to open the blood flow back to his heart. Ernie is on oxygen full time now due to the pulmonary fibrosis. One September 7th 2019 he had his second heart attack, that required two more stints. He hasn't been able to work since April of 2019, when he began suffering from the signs of what we now know was the cancer. Multiple myeloma is a blood cancer that also effects the bones. A simple cough was causing his ribs to break. We have struggled with all the financial issues that gave come along with his diseases. As with cancer, the pulmonary fibrosis has no cure. He is been placed on oxygen full time now. Our goal here is to raise enough money to purchase an indigen oxygen system that is lightweight and easily portable. This machine would allow him to get out of the house to visit our kids, grandkids other family and friends. As we all know a positive attitude goes along way when dealing with health issues of this magnitude. I know it would add some joy to his life. Neither of us are normally people who like to ask for help, we would prefer to be the ones helping. But life has a way of humbling us sometimes. If you can't help by donating, sharing his story may help us reach his goal. God bless you all who have taken a minute to read his story or share. You are truly appreciated. Even a message of support and prayers are a huge help to lift someone's spirits. Thank you again for your time and consideration .
