Help Kylie Battle Sarcoma Cancer

Donation protected
Some of you may know Kylie, but if you don’t, here is a little about her. My sister Kylie is 28 and has a beautiful 8yr old Autistic daughter Kiani who both live in Bathurst NSW.  On the 12th of December 2019, Kylie was admitted to Bathurst hospital following severe pain in her neck along with inability to eat and talk beyond a whisper. Quickly Bathurst hospital realised they were dealing with something too serious that they were not equipped to handle. Kylie was then transferred to Westmead hospital where she underwent multiple scans, MRI’s and other tests. This went on for weeks. Doctors had found lesions in Kylie's, spine, lungs, legs and arms – basically everywhere! We were immediately thrown into panic as to what this meant for Kylie long term. More tests were done and a biopsy taken from a lump found on Kylie’s neck. This eventually came back positive to be a malignant tumour. Kylie was not long after that diagnosed with stage 4  Soft tissue and Osteo Sarcoma cancer. which if you are unfamiliar with this type, it is because it is very rare. Kylie was transferred to RPA in Camperdown Sydney and then into Chris O’Brien Life house cancer treatment facility where she is now receiving treatment. Radiation has begun to try and shrink the tumour, oncologists have told us they cannot operate on Kylie as the tumour is located on her C1 Vertebrae making it too dangerous. Radiation will proceed for 2-3 weeks and then the plan is to start chemotherapy rounds after that. We have been told at this stage the aim is to at least make it possible for Kylie to able to eat without a feeding tube so she can enjoy food again and hopefully be more comfortable, unfortunately she has been on a feeding tube since the 12th of December. we have been told depending on how Kylie’s body responds to treatment she may only have until next Christmas with us. Optimistically at least 5 more years with us. Of course this is devastating news for the family and is why we need your help. Kylie would like to have something to leave Kiani if things do not go to plan with her treatment and would also like to spend quality time with Kiani, her partner Jason and the rest of our family during this extremely difficult time. her 8 yr old daughter Kiani would like to see her mum as much as possible and as she currently resides in Bathurst this has been difficult to maintain with transport costs for visits to and from the hospital. We are hoping to raise some money to help with travel expenses along with money to help kylie achieve some goals she has for not only herself but for her daughter too and help lighten the financial burden whilst Kylie is receiving treatments. If you can help in any way big or small it would mean the world to kylie and our family. if you arent able to donate we appreciate the time taken to read Kylie's story and hope you can share this so we can get the word out there.
