Jennifer's Hodgekin's Lymphoma Support Fund
Donation protected
Meet Jennifer. She is 42 years young, has 4 amazing children (two are off serving our country), she loves animals and is such a kind and caring person. She struggles to ask for and accept help... but she needs it.
On June 14th, Jennifer went to the emergency room with swollen lymph nodes and a few other symptoms. While there, the doctors scheduled her for a surgery to get biopsy samples and possibly remove a lymp node.
Surgery was the following Monday. By Thursday, she had results that were suspicious. The doctors told her not to be concerned yet as sometimes it could mean nothing. Not in her case. That Saturday, she was back in the emergency room with incredible pain in her arms, neck and chest. Blood clots.. and a diagnosis. Hodgekin's Lymphoma, stage 2. Jennifer was admitted promptly, put on blood thinners and told chemo treatments would start soon. Because of the blood clots, another surgery was required to put a PICC line for chemo into her groin. Chemo started Tuesday, June 29th.
Hodgekin's Lymphoma is quite rare but also very treatable if caught early and treated aggressively.
In less than 3 weeks, Jennifer went from a normal, healthy woman living her life and cheering on her soldiers, to fighting cancer. Surgeries, chemo and clots have left her unable to work.
Our mom and I have set up this GoFundMe as a way to help relieve some of the financial burden on my sister so she can focus on treatment and recovery. Anything donated will go directly to her to help with bills and food.
Please consider supporting my sister through this time. Every little bit helps.
