Boak Family Expenses
Donation protected
In early January of 2020, our father James Boak visited the emergency room for a severe abdominal pain he had been experiencing for a few weeks.
He had previous visits with a general physician, who had first diagnosed the pain as an ulcer, and then an esophageal hernia. After a series of tests and biopsies, our worst fear had come true - James had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, with a prognosis of 6 months. Two months later, on March 25, 2020, he had passed away.
Immediately after his diagnosis and hospital stay, James had become too sick to work. As he was our main source of financial support, we are now forced to grieve and fear our financial situation at the same time. Two months of mortgage payments, various bills, and now funeral arrangements for our father have made their way to us. We are currently relying on our mother's paycheck to keep us afloat. We have hardly had time to mourn, and are forced to keep moving.
Anything helps. While we cannot easily soothe the pain of losing James, we want to be able to be at ease in the process of remembering him and living our lives going forward.
While we cannot ask everyone to donate, we do ask that people share to others.
Thank you.
