Just two days after Christmas, we tragically lost an amazing family member. Mark Cooper was an unforgettable father, friend, brother, son, co-worker, and soulmate. Mark passed away unexpectedly at only 37.
We are all in shock.
It would be an understatement to say that Mark left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Mark’s personality was larger than life.
Mark was funny, goofy, and clever. And he was sure to beat me at any game we ever attempted. Football, board games, or mixology. The dude was good at everything.
Over the past eight years, I was inspired by how naturally Heidi and her children, Nick and Jacinda, grew into a beautiful family with Mark and his daughter Adeline.
The hole in our hearts is unimaginable.
I knew Mark as a friend. As a future brother-in-law. What hits me the hardest is that my sister, Heidi, lost the love of her life, and that Heidi and Mark’s kids lost a father.
Heidi is now facing an unexpected mountain of financial worries as a single mom. Funerals in Southern California can cost $10,000 and more, not to mention all the expenses the family will face in the coming months.
If I could do one thing for my sister, it would be this: to give Heidi some financial support during this time of devastation.
Nothing can fill the void left behind by Mark’s passing, but there is a way you can help. In place of flowers or gifts, I am asking for financial donations to help offset the costs of funeral expenses, as well as other expenses that Mark worked so hard for to support his family.
With your help, we can give my sister a chance to focus on mourning and recovery. Even if it’s just for a short time. It would really mean the world to me if you could help us give her the space she needs to begin healing.
