Hi! My name is Jenna and I am currently a junior attending Rodriguez High School. I am in  my 3rd year of German with a interest that continues to grow and grow! With such a great teacher, I have been able to maintain over 100% in my class, making me one of the top students.  My teacher, Frau Aten, has nominated me to study abroad in Berlin, Germany. After submitting many essays & phone interviews, I was chosen and awarded a scholarship to visit Germany! Over 3,500 students applied for this prestigious scholarship, and my application set me apart from the rest. 
   I will be staying with a host family from June 14, 2020 to July 11, 2020. Though I received a scholarship, it's not nearly enough to cover the entirety of the trip.  The cost of the tuition is $6200.00 and I received a scholarship for $620.00. The balance is $5580.00 which does not include airfare or travel money.  I know money can be tight, but as little as $5 could make my trip possible! My family and I would be more than grateful if our family and friends could help us cover the tuition to make this one in a lifetime adventure come to life! 
 The program that is giving me this opportunity is CIEE Global Navigator. This program grants teens like myself an opportunity to visit a country they have been learning about or have much interest in.
